I'm following @disaboom on Twitter. A recent tweet they sent out links to an article that begins:
"Colours In Motion wheelchair company has been the forerunner in the entire industry to use edgy advertising to sell medical products. Their “edge,” not surprisingly, is sex. Sex being brought to mind using hella sexy models that is"
Sexy models to sell wheelchairs - interesting approach. And they're all disabled. For the full article, click here.
(The piece is generating opinion. "Macdoodle" writes in a comment on the post: "i want to know what equipment works has a good maintenance record for the least money. her dancing is great! and realistic! though i couldn't do it. She is beautiful and i see why she is in media.. ........... but this- ................ when i see sex doing the sales i always wonder especially if the representation is unrealistic. This woman has been "placed" in an unnatural pose she and most could not get in and out of,including me.......... i think it's a disservice to the community, when the ads raise the level of expectation to far surpass reality.")
