It's a TD (teacher development) day at Griffin's school so we're at the Link Centre in Swindon with a couple of his friends. It's an indoor ice rink, far bigger than Winchester Cathedral's winter rink, far smoother ice. I'm allowed on without a helper and it's fab. I haven't got any gloves though, and my wheel rims get very cold very quickly.
So it gives me a chance to sit beside the ice, hot coffee in hand, bemused by the complicated games of tag the boys have invented. And I can test out Shazaam, my new (free) iPhone application. It listens to any music that's playing and tells you who the artist is. Very clever! Hmmm. Enough distractions. I'd better get back to work... but I'll have a quick round of exhausting ice tag before I do.
